Our Dream Came True!

When you were

a child did you dream of becoming a veterinarian or going to space? I’m sure we’ve all had wild and crazy dreams and some that weren’t so farfetched as well.

One of our dreams, when we got married, was to change my family tree.  My husband and I didn’t truly understand what that meant but we were committed to making a huge impact on the lives of our children when they came along.

As time went on the vision became increasingly clear.  We wanted to ensure our kids had a stable financial start in life.  This entailed being able to send them to college and graduate without student loan debt. In addition, we wanted to bless them both with a vehicle upon graduation, so they don’t have car debt.

After 22 years of raising our oldest daughter, reinforcing sound financial principles in her, and guiding her along this journey we can now say this dream came true! On May 14th, Faith will graduate from Purdue University with a degree in Marketing and Retail Management DEBT-FREE! We also just purchased her a car WITH CASH!! My heart is so full of gratitude and pride. This photo shows the moment she saw the car for the 1st time. It was a complete surprise!

But this doesn’t just have to be my story or my dream. I’m sure you have dreams too.  Sometimes you need to dig deep and find the hidden desires that have been buried under a mountain of debt.  Maybe you need to ponder the goals you gave up on because it seemed too hard. Just know that dreams do come true.  It takes hard work, consistency, determination, and grit.  But it is absolutely possible.

Don’t give up on the passions in your heart.  Find a way to make them come alive. It may begin with a budget or debt plan.  You and I may need to have a conversation to understand what is holding you back from true financial freedom.  Whatever the next step is take it. I’m here to say that you can do it.  The dream in your heart is worth pursuing so never give up!

To Your Success!
